# Whitey

James "Whitey" Bulger was an Irish-American FBI informant and organized crime figure who led the Winter Hill Gang in South Boston. He was indicted for 19 murders but fled in 1994. Bulger was captured in 2011 and convicted of racketeering and 11 murders. He was killed in prison in 2018.
