Pretty Boy Floyd

Pretty Boy Floyd Charles "Pretty Boy" Floyd was an Oklahoma-born bank robber who operated primarily in the Midwest and South during the early 1930s and was implicated, though never conclusively proven, in the 1933 Kansas City Massacre, a shootout that killed four law enforcement officers and a federal prisoner. He was romanticized in some accounts as a Robin Hood figure who destroyed mortgage documents during bank raids, a characterization of uncertain historical accuracy. He was killed by FBI agents and local law enforcement in a cornfield near East Liverpool, Ohio, on October 22, 1934.
