El Mata Amigos Osiel Cardenas Guillen is a Mexican drug lord and former leader of the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas. He was arrested in 2003 and extradited to the United States where he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges. Cardenas Guillen was known for his brutal tactics and for creating Los Zetas, a paramilitary group that became one of the most violent cartels in Mexico.
