# Muhammad Yunus

Bangladeshi social entrepreneur and economist who developed the concept of microfinance and microcredit, which allows poor entrepreneurs — mostly women — to take small loans to start businesses without requiring traditional collateral. Founded Grameen Bank in 1983. Nobel Peace Prize 2006. Currently serves as Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government.
