# Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin were a British rock band formed in London in 1968, comprising vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham, who became one of the most commercially successful and artistically influential rock bands of the 1970s. Fusing blues, folk, and psychedelic rock into a thunderous hard rock sound, they recorded such defining rock classics as "Stairway to Heaven," "Whole Lotta Love," and "Kashmir." They disbanded in 1980 following the death of John Bonham and are considered one of the founding bands of heavy metal and hard rock.
