# Jeff Dean

Jeff Dean is an American computer scientist and software engineer at Google who co-designed and implemented the MapReduce, BigTable, and Spanner systems that revolutionized large-scale distributed computing and form the infrastructure backbone of much of the modern internet. He led Google Brain, the company's deep learning research division, and co-created TensorFlow—the open-source machine learning framework now used by researchers and engineers worldwide. He has received numerous honors including the ACM Prize in Computing and is considered one of the most impactful systems engineers of his generation.
