El Mayo Zambada Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada is a Mexican former drug lord and the co-founder and alleged current leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. Zambada is the longest-serving cartel leader still at large. He has never been arrested or imprisoned, despite being on the DEA list of most wanted narco-traffickers since 2009. In July 2024, he was arrested in El Paso, Texas.
