Audrey Hepburn Audrey Hepburn was one of the most enduring style icons and actresses of the 20th century, achieving EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) and standing as one of only a handful of performers to have done so. Born in Brussels to a British father and Dutch baroness, she survived the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands as a child — an experience that shaped her lifelong dedication to UNICEF, for which she served as a Goodwill Ambassador from 1988 until her death in 1993. Her defining roles include Holly Golightly in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' (1961) and Eliza Doolittle in 'My Fair Lady' (1964).
