Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi Antonio Vivaldi was an Italian Baroque composer, virtuoso violinist, and impresario who is one of the most influential figures in the history of Western music. His best-known work, The Four Seasons (1725)—a set of four violin concertos depicting the seasons—is among the most frequently performed pieces of Baroque music. He composed over 500 concertos and numerous operas and sacred choral works, and his innovations in concerto form influenced generations of composers including J.S. Bach.
